POINT SCORES
CRITERIA AND POINTS SCORING RULES FOR CLUB TROPHIES.
Rules of Thumb (PCQ governing body) =
a. No child being assisted can be placed over a child riding without any assistance – even in a combined group – irrespective of the time clock
b. No child being assisted can receive an overall trophy at Beaudesert Gymkhana
2. All points to be in with the scorer Marion Burgold, in writing, within 14 days of event – signed by authorised person. Points can also be emailed to : within that time frame.
3. It is the responsibility of the parent or competitor to obtain the points from the scorer on the day – even for local events
4. Only points from authorised Zone 2 SEQ Pony Club Gymkhana events can be accepted for gymkhana points. Only points from Official Pony Club Showjumping, Dressage, Combined Training and One Day Eventing accepted with the exception of Campdrafting where points from ACA Events are counted. Where there are no other outside scores the points from the camp can be accepted.
5. Formal events ie Showjumping, Equitation, Combined Training, Eventing, Hunter Trials, dressage,Tetrathalon and Campdrafting attract points 10 – 1.
1. Showjumping is the only event where “one horse, one rider” does not apply.(CHeck Two Horse Rule 2022)
1. In showjumping a person can ride a second horse and be competitive on both horses in height classes
2. This club, to ensure those competing in the top quality events are not penalised, only accepts placings 5 – 1 in height classes.
3. Showjumping at gymkhanas are not formal events for this exercise and attract the number of points as designated by the host club.
6. The only sporting events that attract placings to 10th place are at Zone and State Championships.
7. Beaudesert Club awards trophies for and are not influenced by the points trophies in any way.
1. Kylie Wilman Memorial; Trophy – Best & Fairest (Silver Cup)
2. Jack Jurd Memorial Shield – Horsemanship
3. Eric Williams Memorial – Most Improved Rider
4. Noel Carlile Family Award – Junior Best & Fairest
5. Good Hands Trophy
6. Henry Richardson-Newton Encouragement Award – for child who has shown a marked improvement since joining
7. The Bell Family Encouragement Award – for child who shows a marked improvement in riding skills
8. President’s Trophy – usually for a good club person or child who works for the good of the club
9. Club Stirrer’s Award
8. Points trophies are awarded as below:
a. Highest formals – gymkhanas b. Highest sporting – gymkhanas
c. Highest Campdrafting
d. Highest formals – official events – Showjumping, ODE, etc
e. Highest State or Zone events
f. Highest points across all competitions
NB. The points designated under item 8 are award for age groups:
Leadline/12 & Under/13 to 25 years/Seniors
9. With regards to Zone, Foster/Massam and Gymkhana day points are kept to “marry up” with trophies being awarded on the particular day and according to the schedule.
